Nate Jacobs Is Officially Dead on Euphoria — And Fans Are Shocked
After years of chaos, manipulation, and controversy, Nate Jacobs has officially met his end on Euphoria — and fans are still trying to process it.
In Season 3 Episode 7, HBO delivered one of the darkest moments in the show’s history. Nate, played by Jacob Elordi, was kidnapped and buried alive after falling deep into debt with dangerous criminals. While trapped underground inside a coffin with only a small air pipe, things took an even more horrifying turn when a rattlesnake slithered inside and bit him.
By the time Cassie and Maddy arrived to rescue him, it was already too late.
The shocking death instantly exploded across social media, with fans calling it one of the wildest scenes Euphoria has ever done. Some viewers see Nate’s death as karma finally catching up to him after years of toxic behavior, manipulation, and violence. Others think the brutal ending was tragic, especially considering how deeply broken the character always was underneath his anger.
What makes the moment even bigger is that Nate was one of the central forces of the entire series. Love him or hate him, his presence shaped nearly every major storyline since Season 1.
Now, with the finale approaching, fans are wondering how his death will affect Cassie, Maddy, Rue, and the rest of the characters moving forward.
One thing is certain: Euphoria just changed forever.
